Dr. Li-Pei, Peng

Deputy Minister of the National Development Council (NDC) of Taiwan and is a Professor in the Department of Bio-Industry Communication and Development, jointly appointed with the Graduate Institute of Building and Planning at National Taiwan University.

Dr. Li-Pei Peng currently serves as Deputy Minister of the National Development Council (NDC) of Taiwan and is a Professor in the Department of Bio-Industry Communication and Development, jointly appointed with the Graduate Institute of Building and Planning at National Taiwan University.

His research focuses on community development, regional planning, multi-stakeholder participation, network governance, cultural landscape conservation, and cultural ecosystem services.

Dr. Peng has played a pivotal role in rural rejuvenation and agricultural development, having served as Head of the Agricultural Exhibition Hall, Executive Secretary of the Committee of Agricultural Extension, and Deputy Director of the Experimental Farm, College of Bioresources and Agriculture, National Taiwan University. His work bridges academic research and policy implementation, advancing innovative governance models that strengthen agricultural land sustainability and social resilience. In his current position at the NDC, Dr. Peng continues to develop forward-looking strategies and safeguard national land resilience from the perspective of Taiwan’s overall development.
